Product description:
Loctite 7234 is a high-temperature two-component epoxy filled with silicon carbide, which serves as an abrasion resistant coating with a high gloss. It is used as a coating resistant to abrasion and cavitation and reduces turbulence. Working temperature range -30 to + 205 C. Application. It provides a smooth, abrasion-resistant protective coating for the repair of heat exchangers and condensers, lining of tanks and chutes, surface repairs and repair of pivots, hinges, rudders, valve bodies, impellers and pump casings. Can be used alone or as a slippery coating for other protection against consumption of LOCTITE products. Excellent adhesion - creates permanent connections. Application instructions.
- For best results, clean and degrease surfaces thoroughly.
- Mix each of the components separately and then measure the ingredients in the proportion: weight - 4.8: 1, volume - 2.75: 1
- After measuring the ingredients thoroughly, mix them until a homogeneous product color is obtained.
- Apply well mixed material to the prepared surface, to achieve the best results, apply a 0.5 mm layer of paint to the brush.
- At 20 C the time and functional curing lasts 4 to 5 hours. When the compound hardens, heat the surface to about 65 ° C and maintain for 30 minutes, which will ensure complete cure and effective adhesion. For work at temperatures above 150 ° C: cure for 8 hours at 23 ° C or higher. Then heat for at least 3 hours at 150 C, then for 3 hours at 205 or at peak working temperature.
StorageIf there are no other indications on the label, an ideal way of storing it will be to keep it in closed containers in a cool and dry room between 8 C and 21 C. Do not put the material back in its original container, as it could product contamination. Cooled packaging should be brought to room temperature before use. Parameters.
